HOUSTON – Erin Energy Corp. (NYSE MKT: ERN) has started production from the Oyo-8 well in OML 120 offshore Nigeria.
Oyo-8, drilled in 3Q 2014 to a TD of 6,100 ft (1,850 m), was completed horizontally in the Pliocene formation. Oyo-8 is in about 1,000 ft (300 m) of water and is producing into the FPSO Armada Perdana. The well is expected to produce approximately 7,000 b/d of oil following cleanup and optimization of choke size.
Erin Energy is the operator of the Oyo field block with 100% interest.
